About Brenda

A life in Kelowna...
I, like my parents, was born in Kelowna. I lived on a vineyard, apple and cherry orchard in East Kelowna - the same property my parents enjoy today. I pride myself on the work ethic that farm life instilled.

It was wonderful growing up here. My childhood was filled with swimming, skiing, horseback riding and hiking. Just a few of the reasons so many families choose to relocate to our beautiful valley.

Over the past few years I have renovated 4 older homes including restoring one of the 200 homes on the City of Kelowna Heritage Registry. I have designed and built 2 carriage homes in the downtown core. Having done these projects has given me broad knowledge that might be of benefit to you if you are planning renovations or building.

My personal interests include interior decorating, world travel, skiing and hiking, road trips and photography. All the photos on this site are my own.

Starting a business...
I became licensed in 1989 to team up with my mom, Gerti Bachmann, in her Real Estate Business. My sister Darlene Bachmann, who is also a licensed Realtor, joined us in 2003. I keep my business practices up to date by taking annual continuing education courses.

My business philosophy is inspired by respect for my clients. I listen to their needs and conduct my business the way I would hope to be treated if I was purchasing or selling property. This has sometimes involved discouraging buyers from purchasing certain properties because I don’t believe in selling something that would be difficult to re-sell in the future due to poor location, leases, etc unless my clients know the issues that may come up in the future.

I’m very energetic about what I do so and always on the move. Communication is very important to me so I’m in constant contact with current clients.

Respect for my clients...
Another important aspect of my business is ensuring that customers understand the steps we need to go through for me to help them reach their goal. I like to take the feeling of being “overwhelmed” out of the home selling or buying process and add a bit of fun. I actually love the negotiating process, as it’s a challenge I’m always ready for.

As much as I love showing and selling the spectacular executive properties we have, I get great satisfaction from working with first-time Buyers.
